This balanced learning approach not only shortens your training day, making it more convenient and efficient but ensures your main focus in the class is learning how to properly test and tag. 

This course combines a self-paced online theory with a 4 hour, in-person practical session with our expert trainers, with both AM and PM sessions available to provide more flexibility.

There are two types of courses to choose from for testing and tagging, with both certifying you as a 'Competent Person'. This means you're capable of testing and tagging in Australia according to AS/NZS Standards.

Express TT course

Nationally Recognised

This is the highest qualification available in Australia and has been designed to give you all the skills and competency required to begin testing and tagging. This course has been completed by individuals, large corporations and hundreds of small-medium sized businesses.

By completing the Nationally Recognised Course you will receive a statement of attainment for UEESS00174 - Electrical Safety Testing of Electrical Cord Connected Equipment and Cord Assemblies Skill Set.

This Skill Set contains the following Units of Competency which you will complete as part of this course:
 

UEECD0007 - Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace

UEERL0003 - Conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord connected equipment and cord assemblies

Short Course (Non-Accredited)

The Short Course meets the minimum requirements set by AS/NZS 3760 and still allows you to freely test and tag as you wish. Although it also involves learning the same information, it has some minor differences:

  • No OHS component
  • Price: $329.00 + GST
  • Issued with Certificate of Attendance
  • Location: Victoria (Rowville)

Course Detail

Our Express Test & Tag Course takes half the amount of time in our classroom as our regular course. It's specially designed for those who value practical, hands-on learning without the time constraints. This basically means more time can be spent with the hands-on learning of the test and tag process.

The theory and OHS aspect of the training is online and includes interactive videos, information and assessments, allowing you to spend as much time as you need to complete this. This usually takes about 3-4 hours for each module and must be completed before attending the practical session.

When it comes to the practical component, you will be shown how to use a PAT Tester in a small-sized class by one of our test and tag expert trainers. This will ensure you have an interactive learning experience and are given all the help you need. All of the training equipment will be provided during this session. The practical section goes for 4 hours, with times available at 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm.

After the course, you'll receive full lifetime technical support from our team, so if you run into any problems at all, we'll be there to guide you through it.

Please note that the Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760:2022 changed in 2022 and our training course is now teaching the updated Standard.
