Registered Training Organisation
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO number: 40604), our training is Nationally Recognised and our training materials and processes meet the high standards of ASQA guidelines.
As we deliver across several different states and territories, we adhere to the guidelines of ASQA - Australian Skills Quality Authority. This ensures that our processes and quality control are of the highest standard and regularly monitored by our governing body.
All of our Trainers hold at least a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and have plenty of hands on experience Testing and Tagging. We also have an experienced team of specialists that come from various facets of the electrical industry.
We have strategically selected training venues in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane to cater for participants across Australia and to provide national consistency for large companies who have employees throughout Australia.
All venues have ample parking and our training rooms are large enough to simulate many testing scenarios. We also have most venues fitted with 3 Phase power to enable us to deliver hands on testing with true 3 Phase power.
Darryl Fitzgerald - Western Australia
Darryl's background is as an electrical fitter and engineer, as well as being a qualified school teacher.
In his spare time Darryl enjoys good quality beer and wine and is a keen West Coast Eagles supporter. Darryl trains at our Balcatta and Fremantle training locations, as well as conducting onsite courses around WA.
Best piece of advice: If you find faulty equipment, ensure you tag it out of service first before you talk to someone about it.
Henk La Dru - South Australia
Henk has previously worked as an electronic engineer and has over 20 years of business management experience.
When Henk isnt training, he follows basketball and European soccer and enjoys water-skiing and spending time with his family. Henk trains at our Thebarton location in Adelaide and conducts onsite courses around South Australia.
Best piece of advice: don't expect to be doing more than 200 tags per day.
Phil Johnson - Queensland
Phil has been a qualified electrician for over 30 years, while also running his own Electrical and Building Consulting company since 1990. On his road to becoming a Test & Tag trainer, Phil has also served time in the Queensland Police force.
Phil trains at our Salisbury, Broadbeach and Sunshine Coast training rooms, while conducting onsite courses nationally.
Best piece of advice: take your time when you're testing and tagging and not let yourself be rushed.
Rick Goldie - Victoria
Rick has a wealth of experience at running a Test and Tag business, having owned and operated one since 2002. Rick's now been a trainer with Test & Tag Training since 2007 and loves meeting new people at his courses and hearing the interesting stories and experiences they have to share.
When he's not training, Rick has been heavily involved with Scouts for the last 35 years, along with seeing as much of Australia as he possibly can in his caravan.
Best piece of advice: get as much experience as they can in a variety of different scenario's and environments, testing their own equipment or going onsite with an experienced operator to gain as much knowledge as possible.
